On the 25th of September 2011, the Red Cow was the venue for a huge celebration marking the 75th year of the Drimnagh Residents Association.
That we are living longer will come as no surprise to anyone, and over the years I have been invited to celebrate with 100-year-olds and more recently 3 or 4 parties to celebrate 90th birthdays.
It is amazing the transformation that has taken place in Ireland over the last 30 years, where we transformed from a mono-cultural society to a multi-cultural society in such a short historical timespan.
They say “never ask a girl her age”, so I’m not gonna tell you.
To celebrate and highlight the wonderful achievements and contribution that boxing has brought to Drimnagh and Crumlin the Bosco Youth Club in collaboration with the Drimnagh boxing club hosted a night of celebration.
The venue was the Drimnagh Boxing Club where the internationally renowned Carruth Family hosted a who’s who of local and Irish boxers who have made Ireland a household word internationally for those interested in the sport.
Our Olympic Heroes attended and with their Charm and skills gave leadership to their adoring young fans.
